Senator Ahmed Ningi of Bauchi Central has demanded his reinstatement and warned Senate President Godswill Akpabio of potential legal action before the NBA if his suspension isn't lifted within seven days.

Ningi, through his lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), argued that his suspension over claims of budget padding was unjust and violated his constitutional rights to free speech and fair trial. Falana highlighted procedural flaws and legal precedents, urging Akpabio to lift the suspension promptly, failing which legal recourse would be pursued.
