In a solemn gathering marked by unity and goodwill, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has called upon citizens to join hands in prayer for the success of the nation's leadership. Speaking during a momentous Christmas Homage paid by Christian communities across the state, the Governor emphasized the need for continuous prayers, singling out President Ahmed Bola Tinubu as a key figure requiring divine guidance in steering Nigeria towards economic prosperity and an improved standard of living.
Addressing the gathered Christian communities led by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bauchi, Governor Bala Mohammed conveyed, "Our President needs our prayers now more than ever to guide him in conducting the affairs of our great country."
Highlighting the importance of peaceful coexistence, the Governor urged citizens to foster an atmosphere of peace and harmony, emphasizing that economic prosperity thrives in such an environment. He pledged the government's commitment to creating an enabling environment for socioeconomic growth through infrastructural development, improved healthcare, education, and comprehensive human capital development.
Expressing gratitude for the Christmas Homage, Governor Bala Mohammed assured the Christian communities of unwavering government support. In a goodwill message, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, the Governor's wife, urged visitors to remain vigilant and address Gender-Based Violence in their communities. She reiterated her foundation's commitment to empowering vulnerable groups in the state through various programs and activities.
The large turnout of women among the visiting Christian community was acknowledged, and they were wished joyous Christmas and New Year festivities by Hajiya Aisha Mohammed.
Reverend Abraham Damina, Chairman of CAN in Bauchi State, commended Governor Bala Mohammed's strides in infrastructural development and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Christian community for the Governor's attention to some of their needs.
