Lord’s Chosen Church Hits Back Over Viral Testimonies: “Don’t Fall for Edited Clips”

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has responded to the widespread circulation of viral testimony videos, cautioning Nigerians to be wary of the misleading content online. The Church’s spokesperson, Pastor Chidi Louis, has accused bloggers of intentionally manipulating these clips to distort the testimonies and mock the Church. Speaking on the issue, Pastor Louis explained that the videos were edited to misrepresent the testimonies shared by members of the congregation. “What you see online are only fragments, taken out of context to discredit the miraculous works happening in our Church,” he said.

One of the testimonies stirring the most controversy involved an elderly woman who shared a dream where she overpowered armed robbers wielding AK-47 rifles. According to Pastor Louis, the edited version of the video circulating online falsely suggests the event happened in real life, causing confusion and public ridicule. “It was a dream, but the way it has been portrayed online makes it look ridiculous,” he clarified. In an effort to set the record straight, the Church has released the full, uncut videos of the testimonies. “We urge everyone to watch the complete versions to understand the real message. These testimonies are not fabricated,” Pastor Louis added. The Church has condemned the actions of those who spread the altered clips, describing them as malicious attempts to undermine their faith. Pastor Gospel, a prominent religious leader in Port Harcourt, also defended the Church, warning against mocking spiritual experiences, particularly those rooted in dreams. The Lord’s Chosen Church has invited the public to visit their official platforms to view the unedited testimonies and judge for themselves.
